Pia holds a number of positions which are connected through a common focus on the opportunities which innovation, disruption and diversification offer. Bringing a wealth of experience from the private, not for profit and government sectors, she commenced her career as a corporate lawyer in Sydney and later practised commercial law in Western Australia. Over the past 25+ years, she has held senior positions within the industry, provided leadership and governance as a company director and facilitated innovation across a number of State and Federal Government initiatives. She is a committed and active protagonist within the Australian innovation ecosystem, with a passion for entrepreneurship, technology and future proofing Australia.
As co-creator of the Global Pathways Program, Pia applies this approach to collaborate with a team of highly experienced professionals and thought leaders to enable innovative entrepreneurs to commercialise, scale and enter global markets.
Pia shares her expertise as an innovation champion, mentor and facilitator as a keynote speaker on topics relating to future skills, disruption, innovation, entrepreneurship and STEM. As the mother of three daughters, she remains an enthusiastic champion for diversity, disruption and enabling female entrepreneurship. In October 2018 Pia was honoured to be awarded the 2018 Excellence in Gender Equity Promotion Award by the United Nations Association of Australia (WA Division) Inc.
